Bio: I’ve lived in California all my life; I started taking ballet lessons when I was six. My parents always read me bedtime stories, and I grew up with a love for books and reading. I am home schooled, but we call it no-schooling. I’ve basically taught myself, with help from my parents, of course. I take five dance classes a week at a local academy, and have progressed to toe shoes! I love ballet and jazz, and write fiction stories in my free time.

Your mission: My mission is to get our generation back into reading. Technology is great, I admit it, but to me, there’s nothing better than opening a good book and letting yourself fall into the story. There is so much we can learn from literature, including easy things like vocabulary and grammar. It’s just so saddening to hear so many people my age saying that they hate reading.

Your dreams: Part of me wants to be a professional dancer when I grow up, but it's a tough career. I also hope to write novels for teens, and do something to help the environment.

What you have accomplished: I’m proud to say that I once read around a hundred books in one school year, and over thirty so far this year. I know, that’s more bragging than an accomplishment, but it feels good, heh. I’ve performed in two Nutcrackers and a production of Cinderella, and intend to do more in the future. And, of course, I’ve hopefully started sparking more interest in books by writing reviews here! The things I’ve done in my life are small, but I’m still young, and all small things count.

Your mission: To spread peace and kindness.

Your dreams: I dream of writing fiction for a living. I dream of doing many things (any things) in theatre. I dream of cleaning my house. I dream of memorizing the dictionary. And I dream of more time in which to make my dreams reality.

What you have accomplished: I've made a couple of lifelong friendships. I've written several plays. I've directed a play in the KC Fringe Festival, and I am in the process of directing another one. Also, I'm directing Puss In Boots at the Alcott Arts Center. I have acted in a few plays, including Little Women. I have read everything by Edgar Allan Poe. And, of course, I am a happy column writer at Dekoposh!

I love getting out & doing physical activities, as well as I love the arts. Most people tell me I'm kind of quiet, but maybe that's just because I believe actions speak louder than words. However, I'm definitely a people person & there's hardly anything I enjoy more than hanging out & having fun. I love my friends, and would do anything for them. Whenever I have my heart & will set on a goal, nothing can stand in my way of accomplishing it and trying to be the best in whatever I do.
