Amelia's Book Room: Dizzy

It's Dizzy's twelfth birthday, and she's looking forward to getting someone special from her mother--who left Dizzy and her dad when she was only four. Every year, she gets a post card or a letter or a small present. But this year, she's getting something much bigger.

Dizzy's mom shows up at their house and whisks her off on a trip across the country with a group of hippies and their children, including her old best friend Finn and little Mouse. Her mom isn't exactly what she expected, and her journey getting to know her and her new 'family' is a confusing one!

Cathy Cassidy has written lots of children's and teen books, like Indigo Blue and Lucky Star. You can check out her home page here, and make sure to look at the neat character profiles on the Dizzy page! I hope you guys enjoy this book, because I certainly did. As always, keep reading, leave a comment, and join the Dekoposh Book Club!

Very cute book! Fun read...it reminded us of Jayden (3 yrs old--dekoposh kid) when she gets mad at you, she calls you a "Stupid Hippie." She will like this book when she gets older.
