One Pimple is One Too Many - Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Now, I say to you today my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: - 'We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.' - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 




Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was the leader of the Civil Rights movement in the 1960's. He is also hailed as one of our greatest thinkers and activists of our time. Dr. King firmly believed in equality for all mankind -- regardless of race, gender and religion. 


One of my favorite quotes from Dr. King is:


Faith is taking the first step, even when you don't see the whole staircase.


Regardless of your circumstances, your family life and the limitations you think you have: dare to dream! Dare to pursue everything you've ever wanted in life. Dare to make a difference. Be the change you wish to see in the world. (Ghandi) There are many ways to make a difference: volunteering, donations, even kindness. A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle. (James Keller)
