One Pimple is One Too Many - Summer Jobs

Hello! :)

I know what you're thinking -- SUMMER JOBS? NO WAY!
But hear me out for a second.

A summer job ((as undesirable as it may be)) not only gives a little bit of work experience ((which will help you in the future)) but give a little cash in your pocket!
Some of you may need to get a summer job: whether it be to be able to pay for your new car's gas and insurance, school in the fall or even to supplement your wardrobe -- everyone can benefit from a summer job!

If you are too young to work -- talk to your parents about opening up a lemonade stand! It's a fun and smart way to earn money ((and also give you a head start in how to run a business))

Use your talents -- such as arts and crafts, knitting, or dance -- to earn some money! Ask people if they would like their portraits done! Inquire about scarves for the winter! Put on dance recitals and charge a few dollars a ticket!

If you are old enough to get a regular job, look into many places before you apply. Consider going into something that you're passionate about, rather than something just to make money.
If you love kids, consider working at a daycare center.
If you love shopping, try a department store.

Having a job is a lot of responsibility -- it's not all fun and games. You need to be on time, be attentive when you're there ((that means no talking with your friends and texting)) and be courteous to the people who deal with and work for.

Talk to your parents about getting a summer job and see what they say. If they say no, ask if you could do some extra chores around the house for pay. ((Such as cleaning the gutter, mowing the lawn, washing the car etc.))

Anyone can get a summer job! It's up to you to make the effort and work towards it!
