clothing for a change

At this time so many changes are occurring in our world.  With these changes come new brands of clothing that reach out to people and places undergoing these changes in not such a good way. It is very important for us to donate and buy these products to help others just like ourselves in need. So, for this week I hope you all can learn and gain something special from my column. When i first found out about clothes for change by seeing Product RED clothing at GAP, I was so into the new movement of helping others I created my own organization Bracelets for Diabetes. I make handmade friendship bracelets with all kinds of cool designs and colors (even beads!). ALL the profits go to the American Diabetes Organization (ADA) located near my hometown, in Washington, D.C.. I was inspired by two of my good friends, who live with diabetes everyday as well as the Jonas Brother, Nick Jonas. Now a days, there are clothing companies that help MANY MANY MANY types of organizations. I know at Urban Outfitters there are donations made for music, suicide helplines, and eco-friendly organizations. A new site i just discovered was Threads for Thought after I saw a girl at my school wear one of their cute t-shirts! So, check it out! www.threadsforthought.com

well i was experiencing some technical difficulties with saving and uploading images. so i deff couldn't be able to show you clothes. instead i'm gonna be listing my ten top stores for a HUGE variety of styles! i think these stores really have stand out clothes and are super fun to visit! let me know what you think=]

10. Pac Sun [a chill surfer vibe is all you need for this awesome store!]

09. Nordstroms [check out BP for a young fresh look...or T.B.D/Savvy for a chic look]

08. Bloomingdales [the difference between this department store and nordstroms...its more dressy and i LOVEE getting dressed up!]

07. Abercrombie [an awesome store! especially for summer clothes. i love their shorts and tank tops]

06. Hollister   [basically the clothes are the same as abercrombie....but for a fraction of the price!]

05. Delia's [perfect for clever tshirts!]

04. zumiez [not many have heard of it...  but it carries Glamour Kills clothing and I LOVEE IT!]

03. betsey johnson [i love how she expresses her wild self through her dresses and clothing!]

Shopping: get involved!

So usually i'm the one giving the shopping advice. 

Well, I want to get all you deko and posh blog viewers involved!

This week, there are going to be images of different celebrities wearing the same outfits, but they each could have different accessories. I want you all to to comment and give your opinion on who wore it better! After each picture, I'll also be giving my view on who wore it better:) I hope this is fun for all of you!

i think jessica wore it better. rachel's dress was just too puffy and covering on the top!

 mandy moore vs. roisin murphy

mandy wore it better. roisin's gloves, stockings, and purse were just too much!

 cameron diaz vs. bethenny frankel 

in my opinion, cameron wore it better. it just seems like the fit was more for cameron and the red really makes her shine!

 halle berry vs. abbie cornish

abbie's dress is classy... but the color is just too light for her skin tone, which makes her looks SUPER pale! Halle looks elegant and fierce, which is why she wore it better.

I love the Jonas Brothers' style. They keep updated with latest trends, while still adding their own style to it! If you want to keep it celebrity fresh like these three brothers, make your way to the nearest Urban Outfitters. It is indeed one of their favorite stores, and when they came to D.C. i saw them in the Urban Outfitters shopping for some awesome stuff:)

Shop Alcoholic ---Accessories

hey everyone! i missed you all and writing very much, but sadly my internet was down last weekend and wouldn't let me update anything:( no fear though! i'm back:)

i thought that i would talk about clothes, but i realized something more important that will add the perfect touch to an outfit.... ACCESSORIES! :)

it is always very hard to put on the perfect accessories. i mean, either there's too much on, or not enough. accessories really make or break your clothes for the day!

lately i've noticed that BIGGER is BETTER. i was looking through BP in nordstroms, which has some really cute jewelry items, and found a lot of earrings, rings, necklaces, and bracelets are bold and chunky. here are some examples: this is nicole richie wearing a chunky bracelet. warning: hillary's hoops look fabulous but don't go too big like jessica! (those look more like weights than earings!)

one of my personal faves: the big-stoned ring! angelina jolie looks stunning in this aquamarine stoned ring:) she looks very happy to have it as well!

Shopping: NEW TRENDS ALERT!

Hey everyone! Tiffany here, giving you the shopping update.

it seems that many people are wearing scarves these days, and no not the one's you knit or buy at a winter supply store, i'm talking fashion scarves! you can purchase these scarves all over! I've seen them at hot topic, urban outfitters, pac sun, and nordstroms. here's a picture to show you how cute they are! 

Moving on, it seems there's been an invasion of plaid tops! these shirts are super comfy and cute...they go with anything! (leggings, jeans, pants, skirts). you can find these tops at pac sun, urban outfitters, nordstroms, and bloomingdales. Look this trend is even spreading to the celebs! 

Finally, if your looking for shoes that are popular this winter season... look no further than boots! :) boots are very in style this time of year and are seen in all shoe stores! some boots can be fringed at the top, have a little heel, or even resemble horse back riding boots! it doesn't matter what type of boots, just know they are very chic and in! 

these boots can be purchased at DSW, bakers, steve madden, nordstroms, aldo, and if you really wanna treat yourself try my favorites, tory burch :)
