Paris Hilton Gets Robbed

Paris Hilton Gets Robbed!

Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton was the victim of a home robbery this morning, and the burglar got away with millions worth of goods!

A a man in a hooded sweatshirt forced entry into her front door and ransacked her bedroom, TMZ reports

Los Angeles police officers got a call at 5 a.m. from a security guard in the Mulholland Estates in the 3300 block of Clarendon Road, LAPD spokeswoman Officer April Harding said.

Luckily Paris wasn't home at the time, but he did reportedly get away with $2 million dollars worth of jewels and other goods. How do you just keep millions worth of jewelry lying around? It's called a safe!

It's not the first time Paris' pad was robbed. Back in August of 2004, the home she shared with sister Nicky got robbed, with designer bags, watches, laptops and $100,000 worth of jewelry stolen.

It's really sad that something like this would happen right before the holidays. Hope those jewels were insured!

Letter from the Editor-December 15, 2008---Wrapping Gifts for Children in Homeless Shelters

Hello V.I.T.s,

Well the Holiday Season has been very exciting here at dekoposh, Inc. We have been very busy sending out Christmas Gifts, baking, making crafts, and visiting with shelters for children. On Friday last week we had the opportunity to wrap presents for 127 children of homeless shelters. We can't express to you how exciting this was to be a part of this. We didn't wrap all 127 gifts but we wrapped several of them and now we are baking for them for their holiday parties. The children range in ages of 0-18. It is very sad to think that these children don't have parents to take care of them but at the same time they are being taken care of by some very special people. Our advice to you is give back this year...donate a toy, wrap presents, feed homeless people, donate money to your favorite children's cause, give, give, and give more. Times are ruff and we all need to do our part to stick together and help each other. YES WE CAN!

Happy Holidays to all,

People Watching Column by Posh-The Hill's

Anyone watch The Hills. Anyone care????

I love people watching especially these celebrities. It seems that the Pratt's will do anything for press right now! YUCK...I am not a fan but I know some of you are. Big News---Stephanie Pratt and Cameron broke up!!! Whatever

Sibs Stephanie and Spencer Pratt keep things interesting on "The Hills."
James Breeden/PacificCoastNews.com
Shock waves rocked "The Hills" last night ... Stephanie and Cameron broke up!

Okay, I kid, the breakup was not all that interesting. I didn't even realize their relationship lasted beyond a couple of episodes.

Nevertheless, Stephanie Pratt showed up on "The Hills: Live After Show" to dish the dirt on what's been going on since her split, and wouldn't you know, Stephanie and Cameron are back together! Apparently it was all thanks to advice she received from her big bro Spencer.

Speaking of the elder Pratt, it wouldn't be an "After Show" if the Spencer/Heidi relationship wasn't discussed. "After Show" hosts Dan and Jessi got a chance to get Tom Cruise's opinion (at about the 13 minute mark) on Speidi's elopement. So what did Tom have to say about the low-key Spencer-approved nuptials? "If the girl wants the wedding ... you gotta get the wedding." So there you go Spence. Give the girl her wedding!

Hey V.I.T.s...

The Deko and Posh Recycle Club is so very exciting. We have been answering a lot of emails and starting a lot of clubs for all of you. This is going to be one of the best ways to give back to your schools. You start the club at your school with your friends, you get everyone on campus recycling, and you bring the money back to your school. How cool is that? We are so excited for everyone. Leave me comments here if you would like to start The Deko and Posh Recycle Club at your school. Ask any questions here or through email. Talk to you very soon.

Pink Polka Dot Girls-Kelsey

Here is what Kelsey from the Pink Polka Dot Guild has to say...

The funny thing about doing something for the world is that it is
addictive. When I
was younger, I always did little projects--a
coat drive, food drives, lemonade
stands for animal shelters--but I
was always jumping from one thing to the next.
Then Sydney died.
It kind of snapped me out of the little things, and showed me that

there was a lot that I could do. Sierra and Maddy and I all agreed
that we couldn't
let this kind of disease strike another kid, another
family, another community. And
so we created Pink Polka Dots. At
first we were just going to host the garage sale
that Sydney had
started planning before her death, but when we approached the

hospital, and they told us about the Guild Association, it was a
perfect fit. It's
been hard at times, and sometimes I really just
have to distance myself from why
we're doing what we're doing
so that I can do it well--if I think about this
terrible disease, or
about Sydney's death, then I can't function very well. But PPD

is so much apart of me now, I can't imagine life without it.

There's a lot more to me than PPD, of course. I hang out with
my friends every
weekend, watching movies, going to the mall,
going ice skating. I'm involved in the
Youth Legislature at the
YMCA, and I'm an amateur figure skater.

I also spend a lot of time doing creative things--I paint and
sketch a lot. My
favorite subject is an apple. It's a challenge to
get the image on the paper to look
not just like an apple, but
THE apple in front of me. I also write stories, and
someday I hope
to be a published author. At the rate I'm going, that may never

happen, but for me it's the journey more than the destination that
matters. I love
travelling--I even don't mind airport security, or
waking up at 3 am for the cheaper
flights.

Pink Polka Dots has exposed me to so many things I wouldn't
otherwise get to do. I
value the time I spend working on it, making
phone calls to guild members, selling
raffle tickets for our annual raffle,
planning events, whatever I have to do. It's
worth it.

Meet Sierra from The Pink Polka Dots Guild

My name is Sierra and I'm one of the 3 founding members
of the Pink Polka Dots Guild. I'm 14 years old, and a
freshman at Shorecrest High School in Seattle.

The Pink Polka Dots Guild was formed two and half years
ago when my friends and I lost our beloved friend Sydney
to an incurable brain tumor at the age of 11. Maddy, Kelsey,
and I started the guild just a few months after her death,
and have raised almost $100,000 since.

Although Pink Polka Dots is a huge part of my life, I'm a
normal teenager. When I'm not fundraising, I'm hanging out
with my friends or working on homework. I have interests
besides charity too, like travel and the arts.

Pink Polka Dots is by far my proudest accomplishment.
When we started the guild as sixth graders, we never
imagined $100,000 in our near future. The experience has
taught me that anyone can do anything if they're determined
enough. I'm lucky enough to have a determined group of girls
and moms working with me for the cause, and together through
the years to come, I believe that we can achieve our main
goal: curing brain cancer.

Get Involved Column by Deko-Deko and Posh Recycle Club

Hey, hey hey, hello everyone...I am excited today!! Can you tell? We are starting a Recycle Program in our cities. We will start the program local and then we want to grow the program to every city in every state, and we need your help.

The club is located currently on Meetup at Deko and Posh Recycle Club and this is what it is all about.

The Deko and Posh Recycle Club is all about recycling and giving back to our environment and schools. The Deko and Posh Recycle Club will begin in Fresno and Clovis, California and we hope to grow to each and every city across the United States. The club needs kids and parents from all elementary, junior-high, and high schools to start a recycle program at their school. Deko and Posh will help bring recycling cans to the schools and create awareness for the schools to recycle, turn their recycling in for money, and bring that money back to their schools. The schools need our help and this program is a great way to help the environment and help our schools at the same time.

The program will keep track of the pounds of recycling each school has saved from going to the land fills.
The program will keep track of the money received at the recycling center to give back to the schools.

We at dekoposh, Inc. have a mission of empowering V.I.T.s (very important tweens and teens) to make positive changes today for a better tomorrow by volunteering, giving back, becoming leaders, and teaching others to do the same.

We look forward to meeting everyone and creating the Deko and Posh Recycle Club program at your school.

Tell us what you think by leaving a comment here and if you are interested in bringing the Deko and Posh Recycle Club to your school, please contact us---let's talk.

Political Drama Column by Thomas-New America

Here's a shout out to all of you political junkies

Well, let see where we are now. We sent Joe the plumber home, we sent the lip-sticked pit bull to the pound and Mr Grumpy is home licking his wounds. Now our new president-to-be is deep in conversations with all kinds of advisers and he is trying to put a "Team of Rivals" together to help him make all of his promises become a reality. It will not be easy. Our country is really a mess. That's because we are in a recession. You know what that means don't you. Its like having to go to recess put no one wants to play. Its like there are no games or fun things to do when you go to recess . Its like someone took away all the kick balls, basketballs and soccer balls. Not fun.

So, our new president to be, Mr. Obama needs to find away to get the grownups back to work. Because if the grownups are making things that can be sold to make money our lives will get back to normal. People wont lose their homes, they will have money to pay their bills and maybe have enough money so we can go to the movies. Everyone must do their part to help one another. We can all help and be apart of this "New America". So think of ways you can help your family, your neighborhood and your cities. This can be a great learning experience.

Political Drama Column by Thomas-Obama Wins

hello everyone,

I am sorry I missed writing last week, but I received an email from Mr. Smooth just before Halloween that Mr Grumpy, Joe the plumber and the lipsticked pit bull were coming to my house to "trick or treat" me. I know it was going to be more "tricks" than "treats". Thanks to Mr Smooth's warning I hid out till after the elections.

Well, the elections are over and everyone is totally happy. Mr. Smooth (Barack Obama) will be the 44th president of the United States (hooray). It was a truly historical election. There were a lot of firsts. First of all we have the first African American president. What was really important was the voter turnout. It was the highest percentage since 1908! Over 65% of the people who could vote did vote.95%of the African-American voters voted for Obama. 75% of the Latinos voted for Obama and for the first time ever voters under 30 were a huge percentage of the vote.

So now, the really hard work begins. Mr Smooth must put together a team who will support and help him make the USA number one again. The most important thing to remember about this election is that ANYONE can become president. Black, white, brown, yellow, red or green. It doesn't matter. America is probably the only country in the world where this dream could come true. Your dreams could become a reality. You really can do whatever you want to do. Let the dreaming begin. We all need to reach out and make our goals and aspirations come true. By working to achieve our goals we will all be helping President Obama and our country .USA USA USA.

We have a new President-We Spoke for change

We are so proud of America right now. We have spoke for change and we won! It is amazing to us that so many youth came forward in this election and voiced their right to vote. The youth came out in numbers to volunteer, to voice their opinion, to inspire, to empower, and to vote! This is History in the making and we can't wait to see what the next four years (hopefully 8) brings us, you, and all. We are truly in this together and we needed a huge change and we got it. With Barak Obama in the driving seat we are going to make history. All we can say to you is congratulations, this is all for you, make a difference now.

Our mission here at dekoposh, Inc. is to empower all V.I.T.s to make positive changes for a better tomorrow, by volunteering, giving back, becoming leaders, and teaching others to do the same. With Barak Obama and his family as our leaders we believe that are mission is going to happen all over the world.

Continue empowering others and remember YES WE CAN!
