Movie Reviews, As Promised

Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen
I can honestly say, Transformers 2 was just as incredible as the first one. It was the perfect blend of action and comedy.

After destroying the AllSpark, Optimus Prime and the Autobot crew have been busy tying up loose ends. They travel the world, locating and destroying Decepticons before they have a chance to harm anyone.
Mean while, Sam Wittwicky is off to college, leaving girlfriend Mikayla at home.

Everything seems to be back to normal…but we all know that it’s not.
I mean, come on. What kind of action film would it be without some sort of conflict? The problems start when knowledge from an AllSpark sliver is transferred to Sam’s brain. And that knowledge just happens to be a map to a Key. This Key unlocks a coveted energy source unlike any other. And the Decepticons are willing to do anything—kill anyone—to get it.
So now it's a mad dash against time.
The clock is ticking as Sam and Mikayla race to find the Key BEFORE the Decepticons beat them to it. While on this journey, they encounter a number of interesting new characters, along with their fair share of obstacles. If anything, it’s the most memorable trip they’ll ever take.

Jam packed with action, hilarious commentary, and a set of lovable, witty characters—new and old—that light up the screen, this is definitely a movie worth seeing.

My Sister’s Keeper
Oh man. What a heart breaker.

It’s the story of a family. A family who’s world was turned upside when Kate—oldest daughter, middle sibling—was diagnosed with leukemia. A family who’s world now revolves around keeping her alive.

They are the Fitzgeralds.

Sara Fitzgerald
—backbone of the family. Stubborn, strong willed, driven mother of three. Sara has narrowed her sight line, only allowing herself to focus in on one thing: keeping Kate alive.

Brian Fitzgerald
—father who has long ago given up on trying to voice any sort of opinion in regards to how the household is run, how the children are dealt with. He follows blindly, marching to the beat of his wife’s drum.
Jesse Fitzgerald—brother who’s fallen by the way-side, slipped through the cracks, while Kate disease consumes all his parents’ attention.
Anna Fitzgerald
—younger sister, conceived and genetically engineered to be an exact match (i.e., a perfect donor) for her sick sister. She now seeks medical-emancipation after subjecting her body to donation to her sister for the past eleven years.
And finally, there’s:
Kate Fitzgerald—fifteen-year-old cancer patient. Daughter. Sister. Lover of Montana, where one can lay in the grass and gaze up at the vast openness that is sky. Believer in an afterlife. Not afraid of death.

This family’s story is both heart-warming and tear-jerking. Be prepared to flicker through a whole range of emotions, wicked fast.
And, most importantly: BRING A PACKET OF TISSUES.
