D.A.P.L. (Deko and Posh) here...We are going to be highlighting tweens and teens every month on making a difference either through volunteering, awards, activities, and/or making a difference. Here are the rules, you can nominate yourself or someone can nominate a V.I.T., the tween or teen must be between the ages of 8-19, an essay and/or write-up about yourself or the person you are nominating must be emailed to us at info@dekoposh.com, we need the full name-age-gender-and location (address not necessary just city, state), please tell us all you can so we can make our choices. We look forward to hearing about what all our V.I.T.s (very important tween & teens) are doing to make a difference.

Tom Cruise Brings Mission Impossible To Troops In Germany


Tom Cruise and Paula Patton, currently on a world tour promoting “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol,” visited with wounded warriors at USO locations in Germany on Sunday.

Cruise and Patton toured the operations of the USO embedded at Ramstein Air Force Base’s Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility (CASF). The CASF plays a critical role in providing care to wounded who are medically evacuated from Iraq and Afghanistan for treatment at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center and follow-on treatment in the United States. While there, Cruise and Patton met with patients being prepared for MedEvac.

Cruise and Patton then traveled to Landstuhl’s Regional Medical Center (LRMC) and spent quality bedside time with many of the wounded being treated in the hospital’s wards and ICU. LRMC is the largest American hospital outside the United States and provides medical treatment to those injured in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Cruise and Patton also toured the operations of the USO Warrior Center and visited, where more than 150 wounded service members and medical staff were thoroughly surprised by their unannounced visit. The USO Warrior Center serves as a haven of comfort for outpatient wounded warriors being treated at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC).

Before leaving the Kaiserslautern Military Community, Cruise and Patton surprised more than 500 service members and their families by delivering an in-person introduction to a free screening of their new movie “Mission: Impossible- Ghost Protocol” and thanking them for their service.
