I started off this post with that quote because of the meaning behind it. A lot of times, people want to help the world, but they just don't know how. They feel as though helping locally, won't have any sort of impact on the world as a whole. Let me just say, That is the wrong mind set! First, You have to think positive. Second, You have to realize that SOMETHING is more than NOTHING. No one has yet to conquer world hunger. However, there are people across American, as well as the world that get involved, and do whatever they can! Grab a trash bag, some plastic gloves and an iPod. Have your parents or someone close to you take you to a local park, and pick up trash to make the park a better place for all to visit. Or you can go to a homeless shelter and serve Christmas Dinner. Stop by the children's Orphanage and read them a story. There are millions of ways to help both the environment and others. My grandma told me something the other day. She said "Chani, Don't miss the forest for the trees." In this case, meaning don't get so caught up in trying to do things beyond your reach, that you miss local things in YOUR community that could use a helping hand. So, Get out there TODAY and lend hand, like me! You'll feel so much better at the end of the day.

Hey everyone, my name is Elly. Wow! It’s been a long journey this year. One of the things I’ve always wanted to do since I was a little youngster, was to create a band, and to create GREAT music. Currently, I’ve been writing with the coolest guy ever, named Tory Ruffin. When I met Tory, I told him the concept for the music that I created in my head. This past year has been about writing and experimenting with new ideas. When I was little, I always sung music people wrote for me, and that was a great experience. But now, ever since I’ve started writing, it’s opened up a whole other world for me. My goal is to keep creating, performing and enjoying the gift of music that God has given us.

I was very sad when I heard my parents talking about Michael Jackson had passed away. And I knew that I would never get to meet him in person. I have his video thriller and his music and I love the way he would dance I even try to copy his moves all the time, when I watched the funeral with my family we were all very sad that Michael died. His kids were there and they were very brave to go to it and to be there in front of all those people. It was good to see his daughter Paris speak about her father and tell everyone he was the best dad we could imagine, that was very brave too. I hope the kids are OK now even though they don't have their dad any more and that their family is OK too.

I'M TRULY DEVASTATED THAT MICHAEL JACKSON, HAS PASSED AWAY. I CRIED MYSELF TO SLEEP THE NIGHT I HEARD AND KEPT THINKING TO MYSELF WHY, WHAT HAPPEN TO SUCH A GREAT MAN AND ENTERTAINER I THOUGHT ABOUT HOW I WILL NEVER GET TO GO TO A CONCERT AND SEE HIM PERFORM AND NEVER GET THE CHANCE TO SAY THANK YOU FOR BEING A AWESOME PERFORMER AND DANCE AND TELL HIM I LOVE HIS MUSIC AS A PERFORMER IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO HEAR FROM YOUR FANS THEY ENJOY YOUR WORK AND I WISH THAT I COULD HAVE MET HIM AND TOLD HIM HE WAS THE BEST!
