SUP??? I have been shopping for cool backpacks and school supplies? Have you? Well here is the deal. We need your help. If you are between 8-19, we need your help right now. Caretote (Caltrans) needs your help. We are gathering backpacks and school supplies for needy children. These packed backpacks will be distributed to schools after August 17th. How cool would that be? Well, what are you waiting for. Go school shopping today, tomorrow, or sometime soon and instead of buying just one item for yourself, buy two of everything. That extra backpack and school supplies will go to some needy child who could not afford them. We are so excited about this program but we need your help and support.
Here is where I went...Walmart has huge savings right now...check it out
I really don't want to have to beg you, but I will if I have to, please oh please with splenda and a fat free cookie on top!!!
Happy June to all of you. We would like to wish the Class of 2009 much success and happiness. Go out there and let them know what you are all about. Stay focused, stay motivated, keep your dreams alive, and challenge yourself each and every day. If we could give you one piece of advice that would be NEVER QUIT!
We are so excited for our new website, it is so hard right now because we are working on the back end but we can't share with you yet...bummer!
June awareness is National Safety Month, Fireworks Safety Month, Home Safety Month, and don't forget National Cancer Survivors Day is June 4th.
Everyone be safe on your graduation day, don't do anything STUPID! Yes we just said that, sorry :( but it does happen.
Have a great week!

DUBBED THE "DC-24", KIDS FROM ONE OF CHICAGO'S TOUGHEST NEIGHBORHOODS PUNCH THEIR TICKETS TO HISTORY TO WITNESS INAUGURATION AND DC SITES Kids Will Share Insights Via Videos and Blogs Grant from McCormick Foundation Makes It Possible
WHAT: Exemplary citizenship, good grades, and an essay were the ticket to history for twenty-four 5th and 6th graders from Lawndale - one of Chicago's toughest neighborhoods. Because of their hard work, they're off to the nation's capitol to witness the Presidential Inauguration and more. Thanks in part to a major grant from The McCormick Foundation, students from Frazier Preparatory Academy will venture to Washington to witness the 44th President of the United States take the oath of office. The group - who call themselves the "DC-24" - have been planning this trip since last summer when it became apparent this Presidential race would make history with either the first African-American President, or first female Vice-President. To take this trip of a lifetime, the kids solicited donations from family and friends and even wrote letters to others to try to make it a reality. It was a $24,000 grant from The McCormick Foundation that ultimately made the trip possible. Upon selection, all of the "DC-24" agreed to participate in extra civics classes and have been busy diving deep into history, civil rights and political lessons. The "DC-24" have spent hours learning about President-Elect Barack Obama's cabinet, and even created special "flash cards" to learn who's who in the new administration. The swearing-in won't be the only thing they do. They'll spend four days in Washington, living and breathing American history. The group plans to visit The Smithsonian Museum, Arlington National Cemetery, tour Howard University and the Capitol, and attend an Inaugural Ball. The "DC-24" plan to share their unique experience with America. They'll blog and vlog throughout their trip, and ask everyone to join in the dialogue by sharing their own thoughts and experiences online - whether they watched from their living room or a boardroom by logging onto www.sharemyinauguration.com.
Privileged is losing Charlie but they are gaining this other hunky hunk boy! Can't wait!!!
Robert Buckley, who immediately made waves on NBC's Lipstick Jungle as Kirby, Kim Raver's strapping young boy on the side, is joining the cast of Privileged, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.
"Clearly, I can't get enough cute guys on this show!" Privileged creator Rina Mimoun quipped while sharing the news with us.
Buckley will appear in the final two episodes of the CW series' 18-episode freshman season, playing the editor-in-chief of a magazine where both Megan and Will hope to be working. Considering the upcoming departure of Michael Cassidy's Charlie, it's safe to venture that this studly scribe will have the "write stuff" to complicate Megan's romance with the boy next door.
