Obama's Inauguration Parties

It's been a long hard road to the White House for President-elect Barack Obama. Time to party!! His campaign was filled with star supporters, and it's no coincidence that they'll all be pouring into Washington, D.C. next week to bring in his Presidency with a bang. Many of these performances will benefit national a variety of amazing causes!

For the first time ever there will be not one, but two official American Music Inaugural Balls: the Legends Ball hosted by Dionne Warwick and the Urban Ball hosted by Ludacris. Music talents from every genre will perform: pop, R&B, country, soul, hip hop, Latin, gospel, and rap. Aside from the performances, past and present NBA athletes will sign a commemorative basketball for Obama. Some of the names set to sign the ball include Jalen Rose, Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett, and LeBron James.

Rihanna will sing for Obama at the RIAA's Presidential Inauguration Charity Ball on January 20. Aside from serenading the crowds in honor of the new President, the event will raise money for Feeding America, the leading domestic hunger-relief charity.

A-list Hip-Hop stars will be attending the Hip Hop Inaugural Ball, on January 19th. In addition to co-hosts Russell Simmons, LL Cool J and Young Jeezy, other celebrities confirmed to attend include Ginuwine, Mario, and many more. Proceeds will benefit the Hip Hop Summit Action Network, a program which empowers young adults through education. The night will also feature an awards ceremony to honor hip hop artists who helped generate youth voter turnout this election.

The Creative Coalition, an entertainment political advocacy group, has a long VIP list attending their Inaugural Ball featuring Sting and rock 'n' roll legend Sam Moore. Their red carpet lineup includes Anne Hathaway, Rachael Leigh Cook, Adrian Grenier, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Kim Raver and many more.
