Hey V.I.T.'s (very important tweens and teens) Deko and Posh here. Our blog is a view of all the news happening around the world that effects us. We find the Top Stories of the Day and we post them for you to read. We would like your input on all these issues we face today as tweens and teens. Nothing is off limits. And in our store online and in person you will find all your must have's by color. Yes, that's right we have color coordinated our entire store because everyone has a favorite color. Nominate a Tween or Teen that is making a difference
D.A.P.L. (Deko and Posh) here...We are going to be highlighting tweens and teens every month on making a difference either through volunteering, awards, activities, and/or making a difference. Here are the rules, you can nominate yourself or someone can nominate a V.I.T., the tween or teen must be between the ages of 8-19, an essay and/or write-up about yourself or the person you are nominating must be emailed to us at info@dekoposh.com, we need the full name-age-gender-and location (address not necessary just city, state), please tell us all you can so we can make our choices. We look forward to hearing about what all our V.I.T.s (very important tween & teens) are doing to make a difference.

Get Involved by Deko-Volunteer in July

Hey V.I.T.s,

Deko here...SUP? We had a great vacation and I discovered some great places to volunteer and give back to. I will be passing this information on to all of you.

I hope your summer is treating you well. I have been doing so many great things. Volunteering, cycling, reading, golfing, and swimming. I love Summer.

We are excited because finally the website is almost finished and I will have volunteer opportunities up on the website at all times.

At dosomething.org and Baskin Robbins they are encouraging all of us to get out there and volunteer and if you do you get a free ice cream. How cool is that...take a look here!

Our charity of the month is GivethemHopeNow.org...

Every dollar makes a difference.

Whether you can give $10, $50, $100 or even more, it all helps. Every $10 supports one at-risk LGBTQ youth for one day of complete services at Hetrick-Martin Institute. From a hot meal after school to finding community to finding a high school where they belong, the Hetrick-Martin Institute opens doors to a world of possibility for youth. We help LGBTQ youth through a variety of programs like HIV-prevention, job-readiness training and internships, and the fully accredited Harvey Milk High School. All funds raised in this campaign will be used to establish the Liquidity Reserve Fund, a safety net for the Hetrick-Martin Institute in the case it's unable to cover expenses through other fundraising efforts.
