One Pimple is One Too Many - Boy Meets World

Hello hello everyone!

How are you this fine Monday? Summer break is here for this college student and I couldn't be happier! :)

Today I want to talk about a show that was one of my favorites growing up:

Boy Meets World

The show starts off with the story of Cory Matthews, a sixth grader trying to figure out life and love. The series continues into his high school years and eventually college.

The great thing about Boy Meets World are the life lessons. Within every episode, there was some sort of lesson that was taught in a completely un-cheesy way; and it always had a relevance to kids and teenagers today. Drugs, pre-marital sex, alcohol and more: no topic was left uncovered.

Recently, ABC Family has decided to re-air Boy Meets World from the beginning. Check your local listings for showtimes!

Why did I decide to talk about Boy Meets World today?
Well, because watching it again reminded me of all the lessons we learn but sometimes forget. Lessons of trust, honor and friendship. Lessons that we always need a reminder of. Even though Boy Meets World is just a show, it carried a message... more than you can say for popular reality shows now a days.

Now, that's not to say that anything that isn't inspirational is bad. Not at all! But remember, taking a life lesson from privileged adults or loud teenagers may not always be the smartest thing. If there was ever such a thing as quality television, Boy Meets World would definitely be on the top of my list.

What's your favorite tv show?
What lessons do you learn? How do you identify with the characters?

Have a great week!
