Daily Good Gossip: Bill and Chelsea Clinton To Attend Millennium Network Event In Chicago
Bill and Chelsea Clinton will both attend the upcoming Millennium Network event on June 7 in Chicago to benefit the Clinton Foundation.
The event will feature entertainment by Ben Harper and an appearance by actor Jesse Williams.
“President Clinton often reminds us of the power of our generation to build a better world,” said Millennium Network Director Emily Wurgaft in an email to Foundation supporters. "Taking on the issues facing our interconnected world may seem like a daunting task, but by joining us on June 7, you can be part of the Foundation’s remarkable work changing millions of lives. In just the last 10 years, the Foundation – with the support of friends like you – has helped:
More than 4 million people in 70 countries benefit from lifesaving HIV/AIDS treatment at reduced prices;
26,000 entrepreneurs, small business owners, and smallholder farmers improve their livelihoods and create jobs in their communities;
30 million children in the U.S. and Latin America receive more nutritious meals in schools; and
Prevent more than 2 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions from being released into the atmosphere annually.
“Each ticket you purchase makes a real difference in lives around the world from helping entrepreneurs in Latin America connect with stable markets, to helping homeowners in Arkansas retrofit their homes saving energy and utility costs, to creating healthier learning environments for millions of U.S. schoolchildren.”
