Nominate a Tween or Teen that is making a difference
D.A.P.L. (Deko and Posh) here...We are going to be highlighting tweens and teens every month on making a difference either through volunteering, awards, activities, and/or making a difference. Here are the rules, you can nominate yourself or someone can nominate a V.I.T., the tween or teen must be between the ages of 8-19, an essay and/or write-up about yourself or the person you are nominating must be emailed to us at info@dekoposh.com, we need the full name-age-gender-and location (address not necessary just city, state), please tell us all you can so we can make our choices. We look forward to hearing about what all our V.I.T.s (very important tween & teens) are doing to make a difference.

Eva Longoria To Host Charity Gala In Las Vegas



On September 28th and 29th, 2012 Eva Longoria, will host Padres Contra el Cancer's (PADRES), 12th annual fund-raising gala, “EL SUENO DE ESPERANZA” at the ALL NEW Tropicana Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
Actor and Comedian George Lopez will also, lend his support once again and act as the evening’s Master of Ceremonies.
PADRES, a non-profit organization committed to improving the quality of life for children with cancer and their families, will be honoring Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA and Los Angeles Lakers forward, Metta World Peace, for their philanthropic and inspiring contributions to the pediatric cancer community. Funds raised that evening will support PADRES educational and quality of life programs and economic services benefiting PADRES families in California, South Florida, New York City and Las Vegas, NV.
“When you have a child who is diagnosed with cancer it is heart-wrenching, overwhelming and has a profound impact on the entire family,” said Metta World Peace. “PADRES offers the kinds of educational and support services families need to equip and strengthen themselves for the fight against childhood cancer. As a parent of a child who has survived cancer, I am very familiar with the pain and agony associated with this disease and I applaud PADRES for the invaluable services they are offering to families. I am very honored to receive this award.”
The evening will also include a Live Musical Performance by Grammy Award Nominee, Aleks Syntek, who is also the winning Judge/Coach of the hit TV Series “La Voz”. More than 600 celebrities and leaders in business, entertainment, and philanthropy are expected to attend.
Eva Longoria, PADRES National Spokesperson, and PADRES invite supporters from across the nation to come together and embark on the journey to bring HOPE to children with cancer and their families. For individuals who would like to attend this exclusive event, tickets are on sale now and may be purchased by contacting PADRES. The weekend long celebration will include a VIP Welcome Reception, Auction, Dinner, Official Gala After Party and Premier Entertainment.
