D.A.P.L. (Deko and Posh) here...We are going to be highlighting tweens and teens every month on making a difference either through volunteering, awards, activities, and/or making a difference. Here are the rules, you can nominate yourself or someone can nominate a V.I.T., the tween or teen must be between the ages of 8-19, an essay and/or write-up about yourself or the person you are nominating must be emailed to us at info@dekoposh.com, we need the full name-age-gender-and location (address not necessary just city, state), please tell us all you can so we can make our choices. We look forward to hearing about what all our V.I.T.s (very important tween & teens) are doing to make a difference.

Daily Good Gossip

When does a basic dog bowl become something more? Answer — When it’s a one-of-a-kind piece of “pup art” created with love by many of today’s hottest stars.

Scheduled to launch on December 5, 2011 and run through December 16, 2011, Bowl Project 2011 is an online charity auction featuring ceramic dog bowls that are custom painted by such celebrity animal lovers as Paula Abdul, Ellen DeGeneres, Betty White, Jessica Simpson, Jane Lynch, Chelsea Handler, Cindy Crawford, William Shatner, and many others.

These collectible bowls are personally signed by each celebrity artist. The bowls’ conveyed messages are an important reminder of the love and affection pets offer people, especially those in need of care most. To view and bid on these custom bowls, visit Bidding for Good.

Proceeds from this unique auction will benefit the programs and services of PAWS/LA, a Los Angeles-based non-profit organization that assists more than 1,800 low-income elderly and people living with life-threatening illness keep and care for their beloved pets.

This is the agency’s second annual Bowl Project auction. Last year’s event, raised more than $35,000.

With the help of a dedicated team of volunteers, PAWS/LA is committed keeping pets and people together. The organization provides a comprehensive range of free services, including veterinary care, grooming, dog walking, pet food and supplies, to help more than 2,600 pets in need.

Pets are more than just good company; they are a part of our families. The Bowl Project is a terrific opportunity to help keep these families together.

Talk about a sister act!

Jessica Simpson is expanding her $1 billion fashion empire with a tween clothing line that's set to launch the end of this year. And little sis Ashlee Simpson is getting in on the fashion action, too.

The erstwhile Melrose Place star is cocreative director of the line—aimed at trendy 7- to 16-year-olds—alongside her big sister, reports Women's Wear Daily.

"I'm excited to bring my sister...to this division," Jess tells WWD, "because she brings a savvy rocker edge that defines today's tweens."

And Ash chimed in, "My goal...will be to design clothes that will help inspire young girls to express their personalities and creativity through fashion."
