Tween/Teen for the Month-Leanna Archer

Even at age eight Leanna Archer realized everybody has bad hair days and recognized her mother’s homemade hair care products were the solution to help others improve their challenging hair problems!

Now, at age 13, Leanna runs Leanna's Inc. [http://www.leannashair.com/] a hair product company in Long Island, NY.

Leanna had pleaded with her father to try selling the products which had worked for her since age four, but dad and mom were too weighed-down supporting three children. “They were so busy working and raising me and my two brothers,” she said. “I realized then that I had to do it myself.” So Leanna started making the hair balm herself and packing it into baby food jars for friends.

Using her grandmother’s recipe, a blend of natural essential oils which prevent dry, brittle hair Leanna was in business. The business quickly grew from conditioners to shampoos and balms and even a skin care line.

The hair care products can be used on natural, chemically processed or braided hair to nourish and lubricate dry and itchy scalps. The formula will not clog pores and leaves hair manageable, not greasy.
Now Leanna is taking her message of how to succeed in business to her peers saying, “I want to inspire other children in the country. I want to let them know that if I can do it they can too.”
Leanna’s goal is to visit schools all over the U.S. “I want to let kids know that they can become anything they want to be; they just have to believe. I believe a kid can motivate other kids better than an adult can.”
She also has a message for adults, “My parents make the products with me. Mom and Dad have full time career jobs. My parents listened to me and many parents don’t take their children seriously when they want to do something. I want to tell Parents out there to please listen to their kids.”
Today people from all over the nation as well as
Canada and the United Kingdom are using Leanna’s hair products.
