Bulgari's big Save the Children gift

This year, jewelry brand to the stars Bulgari is celebrating it's 125th birthday, but their bash will be a "no presents please" type of celebration. Instead, Bulgari, whose celebrity clientele includes Kiera Knightley, Jessica Alba, Sandra Oh, and Kristen Bell, will be the one giving the gift themselves.
That's because to commemorate the special occassion, Bulgari is creating a limited edition silver ring with 20% of the profits per ring being donated to the Save the Children's Rewrite the Future Campaign.
Bulgari aims to raise approximately $14 million for this campaign, whose main goal is to provide quality education to eight million children living in conflict-affected areas by the end of 2010.
The silver ring, which will be available Feb. 1, features founder Sortirio Bulgari's name and is also engraved inside with the Save the Children logo. "I am delighted that Bulgari is actively working to make the Rewrite the Future campaign a success," said Francesco Trapani, Bulgari Group CEO. "We want to be a part of the history, and at the same time help change it by giving less fortunate people the possibility of a new future."
"This is the best possible way to celebrate our 125 year anniversary. I am convinced that, with the help of both our customers and Save the Children supporters, we will succeed in achieving--and hopefully in exceeding--the ambitious target we have set for ourselves."
