Political Drama Column--Bernard Madoff off the Jail---What do you think?

Justice was served yesterday. Bernard Madoff has plead guilty to all 11 charges against him. The real justice would be if he could stay alive and serve the entire 150 yr sentence. Not likely since he is 70.
I guess you have heard that our "recession" is now being called a "mild depression". Doesn't make me feel any better. Here is one really sobering fact. Our homes have lost over 11 trillion dollars in value. I can't even begin to understand that number. Most of the homes in this country have probably lost almost half their value.
Here's something you probably didn't know; we have lost 28% of our billionaires. The top three are Bill Gates, Warren Buffet and Carlos Slim. Even these three have lost billions. Would somebody please pass the bread and water.
The news is so depressing, but our President seems to have plenty of enthusiasm not only working on the economic recovery, but also health care, energy and education. I think we have the right guy on the job. He was going to take a "pause for the cause" to see if the Republicans in Congress could come up with some new ideas, but nada. No cigar, zilch. They all seemed to be intellectually bankrupt. Must be eating too much pork. Speaking of pork, Has anyone seen King Rush I? Looks like he's misplaced his crown and just staying in his bat cave. Maybe Ann Coulter stole it???. See you next week.

Ha
