Seventeen: Tell us about the new single!
Rebecca Black: It's called "Sing It" and it's very different from past songs I've released. It has a really fun feel to it and is just about letting loose and letting the music take over.
17: Do you have anything fun planned this summer?
RB: I'll be in the studio working on my next album, which will come out late summer or early fall.
17: What can you tell us about the album?
RB: The songs will all be different from each other. Some are very slow, but others are really upbeat, like "Sing it".
17: You're turning 15 next month! What are you going to be doing to celebrate?
RB: I'm just going to do something small, like have a few friends over for a sleepover.
17: Last year, there was a bit of backlash to "Friday" and you ended up deciding to homeschool to cope. Has it been hard to make friends or deciding who your true friends are?
RB: I guess you can say that. Luckily, I have some amazing friends. There are people who have stuck by my side the whole time, but there have also been a few little mishaps, which is unfortunate.
17: How can you tell who your true friends are?
RB: The way I tell is to see who is going to stick by you no matter what. I have friends who stuck by my side even through everything that happened last year, so I know we'll be friends until the end. I really value honesty. I like it when someone can be flat-out honest with me.
17: Do you have a boyfriend?
RB: I do not have a boyfriend!
17: What type of guys do you like?
RB: I like guys with a nice smile. I know it's cliche, but it's so true! I like a guy with a nice smile and nice eyes.
17: Do you have any celebrity crushes?
RB: I have a huge crush on Josh Hutcherson and all the guys in One Direction!
17: Who's your favorite One Direction guy?
RB: I honestly don't have a favorite! They all have their own stand-out qualities. Louis is hilarious, but then Zayn is just so attractive. And Niall is really sweet!
