Thomas Column on Political Drama-McCain and Obama Takedown in Tennesse

OK all you Deko/Posh acolytes

It's time for our next discussion of the big political season. I know all these ad and political programs make a mess of our regular TV programs. But, trust me, after Nov 4th they will be gone. So lets enjoy this mayhem while it lasts.

We just had the second presidential debate. Lets call it the "Takedown in Tennessee."

Yeah, it was round 2 of the grumpy old man vs Mr. Smooth. That would be John McCain vs Barack Obama. I think I finally figured out why Mr. Grumpy is so grumpy; its past his bed time. Anyway lets talk about the debate. A debate is where people engage in an argument by discussing different points of view. The word "debate" comes to us from the old French "debatre." Which meant to beat. I don't think anyone got "beat up", but Mr. Grumpy needed to take down Mr. Smooth but smooth was too smooth. So in the end Mr. Grumpy left the debate even more grumpy. Poor guy, he probably needs to eat more fiber and that would help him be a more "regular" guy.

Stay tuned, we will have round 3 of the presidential debates next week. Maybe we will see someone get "beat up" in their last debate.

Thomas

Well I was watching CNN last night, I know borrrring...I was actually sleeping when all of a sudden I heard them talking about a Mom Blogger who created a blog called Moms 4 Sarah Palin. I went to the blog right now and was going to leave a respectful but not so nice comment. Guess what? I wrote the comment and then read, you can't leave a comment unless you are a team member. Loser!!! Why have a blog if you can't leave a comment?
She must be scared. Huh---LOL Miss Pitbull with lipstick! Love your Column Thomas.

Hehe, speaking of interrupted tv schedules, I was quite miffed when the second episode of The Office season 5 was pushed back a week to make room for the VP debate... You really wouldn't want to have been around me that Thursday.
Anyways, great column! I love the humor. It makes all this stuff a lot easier to be interested in.
