Well V.I.T.s I hope you are enjoying the new season. No, I don;t mean Fall, I'm talking about the political season. Specifically, the Presidential Political Season. Yes, that's right every 4 years we choose who will be the CEO, Head Hancho, or Mr. Big, the president of the United States. Yes, politics can be fun. Of course you know what the world "politics" means don't you? Actually it is a Greek word. Poli and Tics. Poli means many and tics means blood sucking ticks. So there you have it; many blood sucking ticks. I'm sorry I am just trying to be funny. Actually the word politics does come from the Greeks. Thousands of years ago before there was a Greece you had a number of city-states. They were called "polis". The people who lived in these cities were called "citizens". The cities were small so when there was a major decision that involved the city, all the people would come together to decide what to do. This was the basis of democracy. Now you know. OK, lets talk about our current political season.
This year we will either be electing the oldest person ever to become president or we will be electing the first African-American. Now, I don't how you feel, but, as for me I don't want someone who's drinking geritol and rushing out to the early senior buffets. I kind of think it would be really cool that we could elect someone who can make a nice 3 point jump shop.
So, we just had the vice presidential debate. On one had you have the smooth experience Senator and on the other hand you have the "lip-stick'd pit bull". Joe Biden, the senator and Sarah Palin, the Governor of Alaska. Watching her was great theater. She was winking, mugging to the camera and referencing her friends, "joe six pack and hockey moms". The only thing missing was if she would have been chewing gum. I wasn't sure if she wanted to talk about issues or maybe try to put a head lock on Senator Biden. It was reallly funny stuff. So stay tuned V.I.T.s and enjoy the rest of this political season. It will only get better. There will be another debate next week.

Thanks so much for adding me. Really a very interesting and wonderful blog.
Too funny dude, McCain = Geritol! He is not a "Maverick" unless he takes his Geritol.
