Amelia's Book Room: The Hobbit

Bilbo Baggins is your average Hobbit-- a small, often plump little person with large, hairy feet, living in a quaint house in a hill in a village. He enjoys his many meals and the quiet solitude of his peaceful life. Hobbits aren't much for adventure, you know.

But one day, a wizard comes knocking at his door; Gandalf, a clever wizard known for visiting the Hobbit town every so often and stirring up trouble, leading respectable young ones off on dangerous adventures.

Suddenly, poor Bilbo's house is overflowing with a dozen Dwarves with a quest to retrieve their gold and treasure from the evil dragon Smaug, and he is whisked off quite unwillingly on their journey. Encountering all manner of terrible creatures, such as trolls, goblins, wolves, and giant spiders; it's hardly a pleasant quest.

J. R. R. Tolkien's classic must-read is the prequel to the slightly more popular Lord Of The Rings trilogy, well known from the amazing movies. You haven't really read a good book until you've read The Hobbit! I hope you all have a good week!
