Amelia's Book Room: The Boyfriend List

All right, another week, another book! Let's get started!

In E. Lockhart's The Boyfriend List, we meet Ruby Oliver, and her list of boyfriends. Or rather, one boyfriend, a few not-quites, a few crushes, and some never-weres. Why is this 15-year-old making this list, you ask? Well, it's for her therapist. No, she's not crazy--at least, she hopes not. Ruby has recently undergone some major friendship and boy issues, and needs help figuring all this out and calming down her mind.

So, with the help of Dr. Z, Ruby goes through the list of boys in her life, trying to work out where it all went wrong. From Adam, her preschool playmate, to Jackson, the boy who dumped her for her best friend, we learn about what each one meant to her--all 15 of them!

This is a thoroughly enjoyable novel, which is followed by The Boy Book, which I am excited to read! I had a lot of fun reading The Boyfriend List, and I think you will too.

Have a good week!
