One Pimple is One Too Many - Consequences

Hey Everyone! :)

How are you this fine Monday?
Today I want to talk about something that many tweens and teens don't think about enough.

Consequences.

What you do today has a direct effect on your life. Being a tweenager or teenager doesn't matter -- the decisions you make aren't suspended or held off until the day you become an adult -- your choices are important.

Taking that drink, sleeping with that person, succumbing to peer pressure -- they WILL effect you. I don't care what your friends or the media says -- it's not being a prude when you say no to sex when you're not ready or to turn down a drink when you're illegal.

Think of it like this: if you touch a hot stove, you'll get burned -- immediately.
Lots of people view consequences like that and sometimes, it does happen like that.

Other times, it's slower... and in my opinion, that's even more deadly.
Smoking for example. One smoke will not kill you. BUT, repeated exposure to smoking ((that's second hand smoke people!)) can result in lung cancer. Smoking, over time, causes lung cancer and other diseases. It's an addicting, debilitating habit that will kill you someday.

It's the daily act of lighting up a cigarette and smoking it. Or hanging around people who smoke all the time... it will catch up with you and hurt you in the end.

Your daily actions have consequences too... and not just bad! If you eat healthy and exercise, the consequence is a healthier body. If you smile and laugh a lot, you'll be an overall happier person.

Choose everyday what kind of person you want to be.

Make the consequences of your decisions something you can be proud of :)

Hope you have a great week!
